Introduction
Dobby analyzes files exclusively on your Mac. Nothing leaves your device without your explicit consent.
This policy describes how we handle — and mainly how we do not handle — your data.
Data we collect
Dobby does not send personal files, folder names, or document contents to external servers.
The current version has no telemetry or analytics. Preferences are stored locally.
Apple Intelligence
On macOS 26 (Tahoe) with Apple Silicon, Foundation Models classify items as safe or needs review — with a reason in plain English.
Analysis runs on-device. Your folders are never sent to the cloud.
Local storage
Scan history and settings are stored on your local disk and, when applicable, in the macOS Keychain.
You can remove this data by uninstalling the app and deleting preferences in ~/Library.
Your rights
Because data stays on your Mac, you have full control: export, review, or delete at any time.
